| | | A high-end ecolodge located within the buffer zone of the Podocarpus National Park, just ten minutes away from the city of Zamora in Southern Ecuador. |
Copalinga Ecolodge is a truly great place for many reasons. This ecolodge is a small family run lodge, managed by Catherine and Baldwin, who are the owners, great hosts and also great cooks. Copalinga is a great place for birdwatchers and in fact, it was built having in mind the needs of this segment of travelers. Copalinga has several trails of various lengths, that allow easy access to the lower montane tropical forest characteristic of the area. Along trails is common to see Inca jays, nightjars and many different types of hummingbirds. The wood work and decoration at Copalinga is great and cabins are not close to one another, which gives guests a lot of privacy. Copalinga is also great because of its proximity to the Bombuscaro area of the Podocarpus National Park, which is the most important conservation area of Southern Ecuador. Please note that due to limited space, reservations must be made at least 72 hours before the first night of stay. | Rates per Person (22% Tax Included) | | Single Room (private bathroom) | $30.80 US | | Double Room (private bathroom) | $23.52 US | | Student Cabins, Bunk Beds (share bathroom) | | | 3 Meals (breakfast, lunch pack, dinner) | $21.28 US |
