| | Our eco-adventure tours are designed for the general public and they are a fusion of various forms of tourism such as rural tourism, ethnic tourism, cultural and historical tourism and adventure tourism. During any of our ecotours you'll have the chance to taste local fruits and cuisine. Also you will spend your nights in a variety of accommodations ranging from small-scale rustic hotels and ecolodges to tents. All your expenses in terms of food, accommodation, transportation, national park entrance fees, tips and local taxes are included in the price of a given tour. Our ecotours have been rated according to the amount of physical activity involved, ranging from low to high. LOW (L) physical activity means that all hikes are less than 1-hour long and relatively easy. MODERATE (M) physical activity means that at least a 3-hour long hike of medium difficulty is required at some point during the ecotour. HIGH (H) physical activity means that at least an 8-hour long and challenging hike is required at some point during the ecotour; hence these ecotours are listed under eco-expeditions. Transversal Eco-Adventure Tour, Comfort (Moderate): 8 days long and the most diverse of our eco-tours. Begins at the airport of the city of Guayaquil and ends at the airport of the city of Loja. Visit three different geographical regions (Costal plain, Highlands, and Amazonia Basin Regions) and four different ecosystems (mangroove forest, paramo, lower montane rain forest and cloud forest) of Southern Ecuador. Spend time in a beach and stay at a fishermen community. Visit the historical city of Zaruma. Visit the Saraguros and the Shuar, two indigenous groups of Southern Ecuador.  |
